These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Emma's Recipe Converter ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Emma's Recipe Converter is an AI-powered ingredient substitution tool designed to help home bakers and cooks find ingredient replacements for dietary needs, allergies, or missing items. The substitutions generated are suggestions produced by an AI model and should be used as guidance only.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

• The Service is offered on a subscription basis: $6.99/month or $49/year.
• New subscribers start with a $1 trial for the first 7 days. After the trial, your subscription automatically renews at the standard rate.
• All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account's subscription management page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled case by case. Contact us if you have a billing concern.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the Service beyond normal use
• Share account credentials with others
• Abuse the free demo feature by bypassing the per-browser limit

4. AI-Generated Content

Ingredient substitutions are generated by an AI model. While we strive for accuracy, substitutions may not be perfect for every recipe or situation. Always verify substitutions against trusted culinary sources when in doubt, especially for allergen-related swaps. Emma's Recipe Converter is not liable for the outcome of recipes made using our substitution suggestions.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, and underlying code are owned by Emma's Recipe Converter. Your recipe inputs and the substitution outputs generated for you are yours to use freely.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Emma's Recipe Converter is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. We'll notify subscribers of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
